The U.S. and Communist China did come together and brought their relationship to normalcy after over two decades. Of course, things did not happen overnight, and it took a while for two countries became “normal”. Just exactly like what Forrest commented, “What’s normal anyways?”
Since then, the modern globalization we all know of today became possible, of course, with some glitches at beginning, as predicted by Forrest, “My mama always said, ‘Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.’”

You can’t keep tryin’ to rescue me all the time.”
