I was assuming that in sentences of the form subj + 很 + adj, it means "is". However, my HSK1 sentences have the following 2 examples:
我的妈妈很漂亮。 My mama is VERY beautiful.
你的衣服很漂亮。 Your clothes are beautiful.
Why does the first one has "very" and the second one doesn't?
多邻国给我整不会了，外语没有very的意思，翻译中文必须加很字，很字这时候相当于be动词了

中文不管什么程度都说很，一般漂亮也要说很漂亮，干脆中西结合讲你妈is漂亮
