Legal cases in response to attempted ban
‘A separate suit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California the same day by TikTok's U.S. technical program manager Patrick Ryan against Trump and Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross sought a temporary restraining order. to prevent its enforcement by the Department of Commerce in order to ensure that TikTok employees could continue to be paid their salaries.
