but castration is another degree of cruelty I prefer not to think too deeply about. well, you know I study human sexuality, male study and abnormal psychology, and you bring it up now. Castration on males before adulthood is the worst form of massacre of humanity because it uses the abnormality to suppress the potential of humanity from inside out. Initially, it can be perceived as if nothing dramatic happens, if castration is conducted in a uneventful manner but the course change in personality is so deep and it is like cancer or rust: it develops from the most intimate fragment of the soul and corrodes within, and by the time the signs are observable, there only would be relics left of the much more enduring alternatives. In this light, I consider death as less painful.

Also there is something I try to think myself recently. As you are asexual, and that might have something to do with your academic achievements. Maybe the sexual urges, sexual tension, sexual drive within you (normally something pretty strong or wild among young males) did not exhibit as sexual activities in you at all, rather the energy is shown elsewhere: intelligence. It is a possibility and there are plenty of examples like this. John Money mentioned this half a century ago too.
I started to take medication for anxiety and one adverse effect, among many is the decreased libido. My libido took a strange, sharp decline and it feels mysterious. Equally mysteriously, I can think through a lot of things I couldn't otherwise before (as a normal, sexually charged male youth) and maybe this is another example of the low sexual activity and high intelligence.

Given this, I find castration may potentially hamper the intelligence of an individual, on top of the emotional well-being (which may deprives the resilience spirit as I previously mentioned few months ago) adding the tragedy of the after effects from castration, explaining my particular distaste over this practice. It is almost a forbidden practice among the civilized groups in this regard.
