GIC STATEMENT ON THE 2022 WINTER OLYMPICS
The Global Imams Council is the world’s first and largest transnational non-governmental body of Muslim faith leaders from all Islamic denominations and schools of thought. We stand in support of, and united with, the oppressed Uyghur Muslims. The Chinese Government continues to violate Chinese Muslims' basic human and fundamental rights through oppression, torture, and dictatorship.
By the authority bestowed upon this Council by the Holy Islamic Seminary of Najaf and the Eminent Muftis of the Islamic World, the Global Imams Council rules that articipation and attendance in the Beijing 2022 Olympics are prohibited. This event directly serves the interests of a tyrannical and oppressive regime that is responsible for the genocide and ethnic cleansing of Uyghurs. We applaud the growing number of organizations boycotting the Beijing 2022 Olympics and reaffirm our solidarity with the World Uyghur Congress. Additionally, we extend our gratitude to the many faith leaders and religious organizations that have expressed their support to Muslims during their calamities.

那么维吾尔人都乖乖的，共产党就不会把他们关进集中营了是不是，你根本没搞清楚这里头的因果关系。因为共产党早年厚此薄彼的民族政策，已经制造并激化了维汉民族之间的矛盾。

在乌鲁木齐七·五事件的导火索广东韶关六·二五旭日玩具厂群体斗殴事件中，汉族女子到底有没有被维吾尔族男子强奸已经不重要了，我想维汉工人平日里关系就不怎么好，于是干柴加烈火一点就着，两边以此为契机开始斗殴。因为汉人在人数上占优，所以不幸的是，维吾尔人这边有人死了。本来这是应由法律来处理的事，该判的判该关的关该打靶的打靶，在七·五事件发生前的十天之内也走不完所有的法律程序，故网上传言当地政府不作为我不予置评。
之后吊诡的是，在七·五事件发生前的一周间，突然有三万多名来自南疆的维吾尔青年被政府以招工为名聚集到了乌鲁木齐。然而他们发现自己受到了欺骗，并没有什么工作机会在等着他们，在疑似中共特务的煽动下，他们开始沿街示威游行。至于后面如何演变成血腥的暴乱，详细的原因我也不清楚，我只知道军警当天就参与了镇压，维汉两族都有死人，人数都还不少。

当时中共高层对处理新疆的骚乱有不同的意见，胡锦涛与温家宝属温和派，但政法委书记周永康以及新疆自治区党委书记王乐泉都是强硬派。因而外界猜测王乐泉正是幕后主使，他是一个鹰派人物，彼时65岁，到达了政治局委员的退休年龄。因此他必须有所表现，才可以在2012年的中共十八大进入政治局常委的行列。而新疆一旦成了烂摊子，中共唯有依靠他这个统治了新疆17年的新疆王来收拾残局。
可见七·五事件正是共产党自导自演的一场杀戮，用维汉两族老百姓的鲜血铺就中共高官的高升之路，满足党内强硬派借机扩大政治权力的欲望。维吾尔人从此走上了暴力抗争的不归路，他们中一些有血性的人大肆袭击新疆当地的政府和公安机关，杀死国家干部、公务员和警察，当然也有一些懦夫把屠刀伸向了无辜的汉族民众。虽然我很能理解他们想要把事情闹大博取国际关注的心情，但是对手无寸铁的平民下手，无论发生在哪个国家都要遭到国际社会的强烈谴责。或许可以再阴谋论一下，那些袭击昆明火车站的维吾尔人会不会也是中共故意安排的呢？
