Certainly. Let me know what you think of this alternative solution:

Step 1: Word Frequency

3 nie
3 mleko
3 lew
3 jest
2 y
2 wod
2 ryba
2 pije
2 kaczka
2 bia
1 lubi
1 je

Given the only possible fragments that contain negation:
狮子不是()
水不是()
()不喝牛奶

One of the words that appeared 3 times (nie, mleko, lew, and jest) must negate the sentence and mean no/not.

Step 2: Finding the negator (suppose I have no insight into any language).

nie:
wodę nie jest biały
lew nie jest kaczka
lew nie pije mleko

mleko:
ryba lubi mleko
mleko jest biały
lew nie pije mleko

lew:
lew je ryba
lew nie jest kaczka
lew nie pije mleko

jest:
wodę nie jest biały
lew nie jest kaczka
mleko jest biały

Given the fragments:
狮子—不—是—()
水——不—是—()
()—不—喝—牛奶

The negator must be followed or preceded by a verb "是" twice, and the third sentence must have a different verb "喝."

Furthermore, all three sentences have the same length and contain four words: subject, negator, verb, and object.

* Note: the milk sentence could have 5 words as cow and milk could be separate. But the point was moot because there weren't any 5-word sentences in the given problem.

Hence, the "nie" pattern is the only fit.

Step 3: Pairing the negative sentences.

nie:
wodę nie jest biały
lew nie jest kaczka
lew nie pije mleko

狮子—不—是—()
水——不—是—()
()—不—喝—牛奶

Looking for a 2 + 1 pattern of verbs to decode which is "to be" and which is "to drink." For the word that fits the same grammatical position, the one that appeared twice is "to be," and the one that appeared once is "to drink." Then, two combinations emerge:

Possibility A: wodę = to drink; lew = to be.
Possibility B: pije = to drink; jest = to be.

Possibility A is highly unlikely, because, if "wodę" is a verb that means "drink":
kaczka pije wodę
wodę nie jest biały
The verb switches places irregularly and break the sentences.
There are further steps here to falsify Possibility A, which I will omit.

Therefore, we hypothesize Possibility B is the case, "jest" means "to be," and "pije" means "to drink."

Then, "wodę" means water, "lew" means lion, and "mleko" means milk.

At this point, I can return to the path outlines in my previous post to double-check and decode all the sentences by filling the blanks if necessary.

Finally, "mleko" means milk.
