跟據X上的推友分析，佔領Hama為據點後，下個目標就是Homs，且一但打下Homs，就差不多兵臨大馬士革了，阿薩德就準備在定居俄羅斯吧。

阿萨德军在哈马的抵抗已经算久的了。如果拿下哈马，反阿萨德联军又会获得更多的武器，征兆更多的人口，最后越打越强。现在哈马之战的视频流出不多，无法确定阿萨德方面的损失。如果阿萨德真的在哈马打光了自己仅有的忠心精锐部队，那后面的Homs和大马士革也守不住。
