姨学家们有一个有趣,而且我认为大体正确的观点:必须坚持美国/西方至上的歧视链,在西方和非西方(或者西方中心和西方边缘)的论争和对峙中站在前者一边。但是这一点意味着什么是很模糊的,因为歧视链学,用你姨的话来说,本来就是“廉价七成正确”的认识工具。想达到更精确的世界图景,需要进一步解析,也需要在必要时部分修正从七成正确的图景得出的错误认知。
坚持“美国/西方的地板高于非美/非西方的天花板”不应该意味着如下主张:
在任何论题上西方文化当权派的观点都要比他者的观点更合理(比如transgenderism要比在西方内外反对它的观点更合理);
在西方边缘/非西方生发的思想和政治实践不可能对西方中心有所启发(虽然不能把它们简单移植到西方中心);
西方向非西方世界的扩张总是明智的,而一旦扩张引发冲突,总应该支持西方不计代价地彻底征服对手;
西方自内部而堕落和瓦解是不可能的。等等。
歧视链学的确意味着这样一点:不应当认为西方之外另有一个更高的秩序中心,可以作为重塑西方的模板或者抵抗西方影响的堡垒。对俄罗斯有幻想的右翼在这点上搞错了。
然而,站在西方中心的立场看,从歧视链学中得出错误的结论和无视歧视链学同样是危险的。因为这些错误结论中隐含的盲目自信使人无视西方各领域的领导者在冷战后如何削弱了西方维持强盛所必需的社会基础和原则。仅举最明显的例子:相比十年前,欧美言论自由的状况是在变好还是在变坏?如今很多不被政治精英和文化精英容忍的意见会导致和他们联手的商业精英和金融寡头对你的制裁,这不是一个危险的堕落吗?
坚持西方中心,并因此拒斥冷战后形成的西方的主流意识形态和统治阶级——这个立场绝非自相矛盾,而且恐怕是最合理的选择。
