More Polish Waltzes: Wojciech Kilar
This is a song from the old movie Trędowata (which literally means leprosy in English but also implies someone's property of being infectious sometimes), and I think it's to some extent similar to Waltz No.2 by Shostakovich, but to be honest, I even prefer this song to it.
You know, it's 1976, it would be unimaginable for a bunch of real bourgeoisie ladies to appear on the screen of Soviet or Chinese theaters, but in Poland, it just happened because it's Polish culture, you can't change it. We're basically just bourgeoisie by nature, and Catholic by definition (some are Muslims of Turkic origin, Lipka Tatars for example, though).
