Rowling found her courage on this issue and good for her but she will never understand how her underlying belief system would always lead us to exactly this place

Rowling, Bill Maher, Claire Lehmann, Andrew Sullivan这类站在自由派立场上反对进步主义的论者指望保守派的反攻只推进到大致21世纪头十年那个自由派感到最舒适的权力布局，再往前推一步，他们就要站回到左翼立场，讨伐右翼势力的过激。问题在于，他们希望维持的那个布局是社会已经被自由主义侵蚀得无法自卫，只等进步派登场发动一波攻势就有整体沦陷之虞的不稳定状态，以这个布局为起点，进步派可以一次又一次洗劫社会，令文化积贫积弱，始终不能回到足以长久维持良善秩序的底线。对保守派而言，有意义的胜利只能止步于某个在目前自由派的容忍区间之外、令社会有能力保卫自身的稳定布局。
